​About Southorn Stadium

Southorn Stadium is located in the middle of the bustling city, with convenient transportation nearby and extending in all directions. It is located above the Wan Chai MTR station. The venue can accommodate up to 2,000 people. It is an important stadium for many international sports events in Hong Kong and is familiar to the public. The venues have always been welcomed by major institutions, and the activities held are colorful and actively promote the development of sports, cultural and recreational activities. Southorn Stadium has undergone several renovation and improvement projects, including air-conditioning systems, shock-absorbing functional floors, LED scoring screens, environmentally friendly lighting systems, and auditoriums in the early stages. In recent years, the stadium lighting, sound absorption and hanging point equipment have also been optimized.

Founded in 1933, it is a long-standing non-governmental youth social service organization in Hong Kong. Through diversified services, we are committed to cultivating young people's comprehensive and balanced physical and mental development in moral, intellectual, physical, social, and beautiful, and become the successors of Hong Kong society.

 

Our service is divided into three departments: "Central Administration and Institutional Communication Department", "Social Work Department" and "Culture and Sports Department". The "Central Administration and Institutional Communications Department" is responsible for association administration, organization of large-scale events, institutional communications, professional research and development, etc. The services of the "Social Work Department" include the Comprehensive Youth Service Center, Children and Youth Center, Regional Youth Outreach Social Work Service, Youth Outreach Service, Community Support Service Plan, School Social Work Service, and Counselling Plan for Dropouts from Extraordinary Schools, etc. The "Culture and Sports Department" includes venues, camps, exchange and art services, sports services and social enterprises. Service units are located on Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, the New Territories and outlying islands. At the same time, the Association also has regular exchanges and cooperation with governments and public organizations in the Mainland, Macau and neighboring regions of Southeast Asia to promote professional development between them.

 

The association has always adhered to the spirit of "people-oriented, pursuit of excellence", contributing to society and benefiting the new generation, and is committed to becoming a local and internationally renowned professional youth service organization.
